Recipe: Jim Pierce’s Crazy Cookies


Fun, delicious cookies for your bird!

Jim Pierce’s Crazy Cookie Recipe

2 cups uncooked 9 Grain Cereal Mix (non fortified)
1 cups Spelt Flour
1/2 cup oat groats
1/2 cup buckwheat
1 /2 cup millet
1/2 cup quinoa
1 /4 cup chopped walnuts
1 /4 cup chopped pecans .
1/4 cup pine nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg
2 Eggs (including the shell, which should be ground to a powder)
1/2  medium sized Papaya
1/2 bunch dandelion greens
1/2 cup of cooked sweet potato
1 small jar Applesauce
1 small can pure pumpkin
1 tablespoon of Red Palm Oil

Heat the oven to 375 degrees.

Mix the dry stuff together. Mix the wet stuff together. Combine and mix it up to a good thick batter.
Use a tablespoon to scoop out into cookie sized blobs on a cookie sheet. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Serve when cool.
They freeze well and remain somewhat moist.
