I am awaiting my new Linnie. He will be ready for adoption in 2-3 wks. In the past I have had parakeets, and a cockatiels. This article/blog has really helped me prepare for him. Thank you so much.

This is the best and most sensitive information I have ever read about birds. I am awaiting my new Linnie. Bouncing around on my shoulder to music is ok for ten minutes or so, but then she flies home. Finally, I gave her a mirror which she presses up against and talks to, but she is still lonely. I would prefer to find an older companion for her, but would even give her up to the right home with built-in companionship (another linnie). On both accounts, I have been unsuccessful. I live in Langley, BC, Canada. Question...Does anyone know of a local prospect to help me? I tried craigslist with no success. Maybe there is a local bird club of which I am unaware. Thanks.

My female cremino (6 yrs) has lost her mate and is lonely. I held her in the store and she was pretty good. (not biting much, they were so surprised.) So, I took her home. In about a week she wasnt biting at all. Now she is so affectionate and a reformed biter.

I bought a linnie from the pet store. It was one that no one wanted because she bit too much.
